Dr Adarkwah Antwi was educated to PhD level in the broad areas of land/property economics, urban land policies and property rights institutions, Adarkwah possesses considerable experience in teaching, research and international professional consultancy in urban land economics. Professional working experience has been gained significantly in Africa (Nigeria and Ghana) and United Kingdom. Currently Adarkwah leads the implementation of a World Bank/DFID project in Ghana that seeks to establish and strengthen customary land rights administration to form the backbone for an equitable, efficient and transparent land administration in Ghana.
He is a professional member of the British Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and qualified as a Chartered Surveyor and Property Investment Appraiser (MRICS). Adarkwah is also a committed academic with strong innovative, conceptual, analytical and facilitation skills.

June Arunga is a recent Law graduate from the University of Buckingham in England and the Founder of Open Quest Media LLC, a film production company in New York City. She has written and hosted four documentaries to date. "The Devil's Footpath” (2004, BBC TV), “Africa: Who is to Blame? - in which she was the co-presenter with the former president of Ghana - Jerry Rawlings (2005, BBC World TV), “Africa’s Ultimate Resource” (2005, Victory Studios). She also worked with Johan Norberg on “Globalization is Good” (2002, Channel 4 UK), based on the Award winning book by Johan Norberg “In Defence of Global Capitalism” (2001). The book has been translated in over 20 countries.
Miss Arunga has been featured on several television interviews, including ABC’s 20/20 segment with John Stossel on the “sweatshops”, during the 2003 WTO Ministerial meetings, and in 2006 on Foreign Aid. Most recently in February 2007 June co- authored a study on “The Cell-Phone Revolution in Kenya” published by Istituto bruno Leoni, a Milan based Public- policy think tank, and International Policy Network, a London based public policy charity. The study was the subject of BBC “NewsNight” mini-documentary by the same title.

Kofi Bentil is passionate about entrepreneurship. Alongside maintaining a full portfolio of teaching posts at the Kofi Annan Centre for Excellence in IT, Ashesi University and the University of Ghana Business School, he has incubated several business ventures, which are now fully operating enterprises. In 2005 he was honored by the World Bank (and partners) with an award in entrepreneurship. His academic training was in geographical systems at the University of Ghana, Legon, his professional interests however range from project management generally to specialized practice in financial and risk management.
As Head of Business Development at Rancard Solutions, he oversaw major strategic undertakings that transformed this Ghanaian industry leader in mobile-business solutions into a major innovator and pace-setting market pioneer. In 2003 he was awarded an MBA in Marketing by the University of Ghana, Legon.

Daniel Ogbarmey Tetteh Daniel is an Associate director and the Head of Databank Research & Information Ltd (DRIL). Daniel has built on the solid research foundation of Databank to the extent that DRIL is a regular contributor of equity and economic research on Ghana to leading media houses and international portals like Bloomberg and Financial Times.
Daniel is responsible for DRIL's Economic Briefing Service to companies as well as media relations. He also conducts in-house training for new recruits. Daniel's previous experience includes administrative management at City Pagers and lecturing at the School of Administration, University of Ghana, Legon.
Daniel holds a B.Sc in Business Administration (Management) with first class honours, an MBA (Marketing) from the School of Administration, University of Ghana and a Postgraduate Diploma in Corporate Finance and Management from Sorbonne University, Paris. |

Peter Jungen, chairman (owner/founder) of Peter Jungen Holding GmbH, is an entrepreneur and angel investor.
He holds an MBA from Cologne University, Germany. After graduation he joined a large German private group, where he served for about 20 years in several positions i.e. as Managing Director. In 1986 he joined STRABAG as CEO, one of the largest German civil engineering groups. After a successful turnaround of Strabag he started his own entrepreneurial activities in 1991 and founded Peter Jungen Holding GmbH which helds investments in various industries and service related companies. He is Co-Founder of Idealo Internet GmbH, leading German comparison Platform, Berlin. He is a Partner of the Halo Fund, Palo Alto.
He is a Chairman or Board member of several companies and institutions, i. e. New York Philharmonic New York City, International Angelinvestors.org, Palo Alto, Flossbach & von Storch Vermögensmanagement AG, Köln.
He is Chairman or member of several Advisory Boards: i. e. Deutsche Bank AG, Ost, Frankfurt / Berlin (Chairman); Pipeline Engineering Consulting GmbH, Berlin; New Atlantic Initiative, Washington.
He is member of the Business Angels Network of the National University of Singapore and member of the New York Angels, New York. He is a member of the International Advisory Council, Columbia University, New York, member of the Board of Advisors of the Center for Global Entrepreneurship, Thunderbird University, Arizona and a member of the International Josef Schumpeter Society. He is member of the Steering Board of the MENA-OECD Enterprise Financing Network.
He is Co-Founder and President of the European Enterprise Institute (EEI).
He is Founding President of Business Angels Netzwerk Deutschland (BAND) as well as Co-Founder and President of European Business Angels Network (EBAN) (2001-2004).
He was Vice chairman of the German Machinery and Plant Manufacturers‘ Association (VDMA) and a member of the Presidency of the Federation of German Industries (BDI).
In September 2000 the leading German business magazine „Wirtschaftswoche“ named Peter Jungen one of the 100 most important personalities who shape the future of the „New Economy“ in Germany (New Economy Top 100).
In August 1999 Peter Jungen was awarded the Commander’s Cross of the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany by the President of the Federal Republic of Germany.

Kojo Oppong-Nkrumah
Born in April 1982, Kojo studied accounting, finance and management through high school and the University. He holds a Bachelor of commerce degree (his first) with an accounting major from the University of Cape Coast- Cape Coast, Ghana.
A keen interest in analysis and debates motivated him to participate in and win the year 2000 national Independence debate for Secondary School students.
With a natural desire to improve the fortunes of every environment in which he finds himself, Kojo has taken up leadership roles at various stages in his life. From Senior Prefect of Pope John Secondary School to becoming the projects director of the Students in Free Enterprise, University of Cape Coast (SIFE-UCC) in 2003 – during which period he led his team to win the SIFE Ghana Business competition for Tertiary students and on to represent Ghana at the SIFE world cup in Barcelona Spain later that year.)
As a young man with keen interest in exploring new frontiers, he set up his first company at age 23 while in University to publish a local campus Newspaper. The setting up of this company which was born also out of a desire to access and disseminate information culminated in his initial journalism training and his current job as Host of the flagship breakfast show on One of Ghana’s leading radio stations JOYfm - the Super Morning Show.
Prior to this, he worked as a treasury analyst for the British American Tobacco company ltd, a multinational company with high financial compliance standards. He still works as a financial analyst and a business development consultant for a number of corporate entities in Accra, Ghana. He additionally serves as a director on the board of a securities company, as executive director of a media content development company and a board member of the Student’s in Free Enterprise (SIFE) Ghana.
A Christian, single and full of exuberance, Kojo’s personal passion is to empower people with information that enables them take control of their own situations and better their own lot. He believes that with knowledge man takes better decisions and eventually becomes better of. His most fulfilling days are days on which he learns something new because “knowledge or information is what empowers us”.
He enjoys watching football and spends the best part of his free moments reading watching movies or chatting with friends. |
